Can't improve after 1550

It was possible indeed, you defended the d5 pawn. But if you opened the position instead, you would get some attack opportunities because of your better development.

I agree. That’s why you should use the 3 moon rose bush method.
You had an advantage in the beginning. Be3 was a blunder. If you played Nxd5, you will still have a winning position.
i'm not a coach and haven't improved much in the last 2 years
based on several discussions in chess communities:
1- improving doesn't always show on the rating
2- everyone has their own way of improving. you need to find what you enjoy doing and go from there
3- climbing the chess ladder takes a lot of effort. like a lot
4-you need to constantly improve your mindset, thought process and stamina as well
5-people tend to improve faster when motivated
6-being in somewhere that chess is ,like a community or a club, has so many advantages

i can also share my own experience. i started with doing 10000 puzzles on lichess. after that i was able to put my own ideas in the game and keep losing until they started working. picked up positional understanding and strategy when playing and watching my friends games and got to 1900 classical. a little bit of puzzle book and 2000. changed my openings and 2100. at this point people were punishing my ideas and most of understanding were simply wrong (maybe playing kings indian stuff is too complicated for me). tried losing til it works a few times but wasn't wise to have the chess pain in my life so i started lacking motivation and been only playing for fun and relaxation till now but i'm looking forward to climbing the ladder again in the future maybe spend a whole week to solve god knows how many puzzles from morning to night :). i never studied openings as much as others. the more i improved it was easier for me to remember a move/line i've seen somewhere and i'd try to analyze that with playing them and maybe check the engine afterward.

anyway, i wish you keep enjoying chess and stay motivated.
looking forward to seeing a post by you after your improvement
