I think it would be nice if Lichess would support FIDO U2F
I am sorry but I can't understand this whole discussion. I am still for the cui prodest reasoning. What is the advantage of hacking a lichess account?. Are they going to play chess with my nickname? Is that the tread?. So what.
I will start a new account and get back to my points with some games. Maybe at the beginning I would have to play with weaker player. And what the hacker would do. Play better or worse. If he is better why not making a new account. If he is worse after a few game he will loose all his (my) points. We are not playing money. It's a passatempo, a way to spend time.
Two factor? That means that if I want to play a game I should get a text message and put a code in it? I'll go back to babachess. I don't want to share my cell number if we are talking about risks of sharing private information.

You don't have to share your cell number for two factor on lichess.
Anyway, I have a weak password as well. My worst fear is that someone could log into my account and cheat. Fortunately nobody has anything to gain from that, so meh.

@Gbit2 lichess will never use your account and see u r privacy if other mods ask then u can report them!
