@MoonRising what does Lichess do with the excess money from donations?

well they probably use it for prize tournaments, which attracts more people, meaning more chances of donations

But in general, this company is non-profitable, so they don't do anything bad with the excess money

At least I hope...

For rapid games I do prefer chessdotcom system of starting the timer right after White's first move

But that's kinda unfair ngl

@MoonRising Only after White's first move. So not unfair. It prevents the annoying cases where black takes exactly 30 seconds to perform the first move

That way Black can take as much time for the first move as they want but not a free 30 seconds

Still even if they take 30 secs that's 30 secs you can think about the game too
