What did I do wrong?

Your biggest mistake was 17 Nxb5, while 17 axb5 was OK.This was a 5+0 blitz game, but both of you had 4 minutes on your clocks at this point, i.e. you both played as if it were 1+0 bullet.
Other mistakes:
13 Bxb5 allowing 13...Bxa2+
15 h4 allowing 15...a6
Play slower and think your moves through. In a 5+0 blitz game you should think about 5 seconds per move.

4...Nxd4 allows white's queen to occupy a central square without harassment. Notice later that you played c5 to chase her away and weakened both d5 and the d6-pawn.
15...b5 was a great move, opening lines. However, 16...Bxa2+ using the overloaded knight would have been the correct followup.
14...Rb7: I would have played Rb6 (to control c6) or a6 (to open the b-file. Although after further thought, I don't want Nd5 to happen with tempo and the doubling before kicking the bishop is better.
16...Rxb5: Daring, but axb5 stops your attack.
I think that you have a very aggressive playing style and you'll go far, but you need to calculate better.
You also missed 13. Nd5! which is typical in such positions - you attack the (undefended) black queen, your king is not in check if black trades, and you therefore have time for a zwischenzug if he does trade. So 13. Nd5 Qxd2 would be answered with 14. Nxe7+ Kh8 15. Rxd2 and you're up a piece, or he can play 13. Nd5 Qd8 but then simply 14. Nxe7+ Qxe7 15. Qxd6 is great for you.
I see. Still, you both missed 13. Nd5, which means 12... b5 was objectively a mistake.

Like I said, it's a typical pattern in opposite-castling scenarios where black plays Qa5, white plays Kb1 and threatens a discovered attack with Nd5xf6/e7+.
@Rrhyddhad You're welcome! And in the end I am also just a patzer - I just have a title saying I'm a slightly stronger patzer than most :)
