I really want to improve

I have been playing on and off for a couple of years now but I have just recently gotten very serious and passionate about the game. I really want to improve and I have been for the past couple of weeks, but I feel like I am plateauing. Does anyone have any tips on how they improved? I really feel like I can get really good if I work on it really hard.
