Berserk is an OPTION and if someone joins for example blitz or superblitz arena and wants to play exactly on that pace, why should they berserk there (or berserk someone back) to turn the game into a bullet time control?! :0
Every tournament has those players begging for berserk/berserk back in the chat - i think it is really annoying.
To berserk or not to berserk is players personal decision - you cannot expect that everyone wants to gamble, like you do.
And btw. I love berserking! :-)
I often join arenas and decide to play on 100% berserk because it is fun to give time odds, it is a challenge!

As to the issue, I am always surprised at the players who have a particular way of playing (we all do) who are insulted that everyone else does not play by their rules. What ever happened to free choice? I appreciate the variety of all attitudes.

@HORRORMAKER When Capablanca first faced the gambit prepared for years by Marshall in the Spanish Ruy Lopez, he said he felt "honor bound" to accept the pawn. Myself, I don't feel honor bound to play any way on the chess board. Honor is reserved for more serious matters. A game is a game. Play as you want.
I have always suspected that honor has a lot to do with stupidity.

Nothing is as sad as losing your face in front of yourself :) But if you do not feel the same it is your choice of course. Re- Berserk is like a law! I don´t want to be someone who is getting slaped into the face and says thatnk you or nothing :) Not Re- Berserk is like losing the stare down before a boxing fight it is horrible! It is as if you lost already in advance. Because your opponent is actualy saying i give you an advantage cause i beat you anyway. And you accept this advantage and here by confirming the statemant of your opponent that you are a weaker player by letting this advantage happen.

Whenever other people talk about *my* honor, then I check if it is a cheap attempt to manipulate me. And this is the case here: trick me into a time control I don't want to play.
