@Will14 for me ultra bullet corresponds to time trouble situations in bullet and 3min blitz. I know a few games where I won by dirty flagging tricks I learned in ultra. Also it makes players more aware of check mates and attacks and quick thinking. True ultra isn't completely chess but that doesn't mean it is not chess at all, you just add other considerations like time and antipremove traps etc. Regardless about which game you mean by football neither game make the player dribble the ball. In soccer (in the US) only the player that even touches the ball with hands is the goalie. In football (in the US) dribbling is a good way of fumbling and losing the game, but that is another subject. True making random kb premoves does not win an ultrabullet game but in my experience a strong kb is more dangerous than a strong mouse player. The problem with kb in my opinion is that you download an extension that other players may not even be aware of. That creates advantage for the side that has the kb. If
lichess.org announced that they made the kb extension a feature on their site I would be indifferent. When it comes to lag compensation the idea is that some players have the disadvantage of a weaker connection it takes more time to move so
lichess.org compensates by delaying the clock slightly. The problem seems to be that sometimes there is too much compensation and the advantages are flipped. That's something that
lichess.org has been trying to fix for a while. Although lag compensation is hard to balance I don't think it should be removed completely. I enjoy the fact that I can play bullet and ultra bullet on
lichess.org with out worrying about not being able to play due to lag on days when the connection is bad.
