Aesthetic complaints on Lichess v2

Very good insights OP, constructive criticism in every aspect. I also agree that the design was a shot in the foot. The scaling feels like its on mobile version, It's really painful to watch

yaguzis post is extremely valuable. please listen. i agree with everything said. v2 makes thousands and thousands of lichess users very angry because they love v1 so much. there is no other option than going back to v1 or lichess will lose thousands and thousands of users.

I agree with some aspects. The size is weird, I have to change the zoom in the browser to adjust it. It would make sense to have a setting in the preferences menu to set a size. Also it would make a lot of sense to allow people to change the theme of the site for example to the old one.

My PC is too old (Windows XP) and Mozilla Firefox doesn't support this version anymore.A new PC? Not now.Game over for malaticcio.Goodbye lichess.One year of a magnificent adventure with you chess players.For now I will continue to play on chess.org.

@malaticcio Try to install Linux, your PC will become much faster and maybe you’ll have the possibility to install a on-page browser. Please notice that Windows XP is not longer maintained and so secured anymore.

Looking at the forum and the many complaints about the new interface, I have to agree with all of you griping about it. Clearly this was an effort to make the interface work better on a mobile phone, but in the process they messed up the interface for tablet/desktop/laptop (which defeats the goal of making the design truly responsive/adaptive).

I hope the Lichess product team is humble and smart enough to recognize that they need to fix these interface issues for non-phone usage.
