Carlsen-Karjakin World Championship 2016 Game 6.

People want to see blood. They want to see sharp games. They dont want to see endgames with opposite color bishops. So in this case, i tend to agree with @Tangelo777!
I don't find the match boring. It's chess at top level. Besides there's a match strategy involved and a mistake can be fatal. They can't exchange blows like MMA fighters just to entertain the audience. They are not playing for fun. It's the WCC.
I think the match is great! Though these quick draws slightly bore me but I don't mind it is incredible to see two of the best players out there play a match that they both have prepared so extremely well for months. @todo_pro has it spot on.
Hi, this is the first time i see a WCC... im 34 years old... and i think that this games are amazing. I see real epic things. Cant believe the presure, when karjakin defend... oh so great :-). Really for me this is very great to see. Of course i dont see the complete match, but keep a lot of hours... and enjoy a lot. In some moment somebody will win, and then... well, will be all different.

(sorry for my english, i dont write well).
It is not the result, but the content of the games that counts. This is chess at the highest level, nothing less.
This is a relatively short match, only 12 games.

Only 6 games remain. So it is more important for players to NOT lose than it is for them to attempt to win.

Even if wins counted for more like 3 for a win, and 1 on a draw it would not likely increase aggressiveness because they are still risking 3 points on a loss because it's 1 on 1.

1 mistake can cost either player the championship here.

However I can think of a good way that would reduce the draws.

Upon a drawn game the players set the pieces back up again, and keep the same amount of clock that they had remaining after that game, but switch sides of the board. Upon stacked games like this they will be granted a 30 second increment automatically on any games after the 1st one. If they reset the board twice, and have had 3 draws on the day then, and only then will they call the games of that day a draw.

So eventually 1 player will lose on time or get aggressive enough to win or lose barring 3 draws in a row.
@ JoseAldo #8. Connor Mc Gregor can make 64 moves in a few seconds.

Yep, when the game begins and he is white to move.

He can just throw the board and pieces at the wall.

Game over : )
