3. Nc3 is by far the most common response by White for <2000 players for the Modern Scandi, followed by d4 (good for White) and c4 (bad for White). Nf3 is also a decent response for White. I think d4 is considered the best move here and at higher ratings that is what tends to get played. I don't play this particular trap, but I do play the modern Scandi a lot and I see White playing this all the time.

We can all agree that Nc3 is not accurate move. But it is the most played move in Lichess database and in database of my games as well

Out of 80 000 games Nb4 was played 300 times (making it rare 0,4%)

Out of these 300 games more than 200 times white blundered and lost exchange (meaning most of the players fall for the trap ((we are talking about the games where Nb4 occured))
