Variant Rating Calculations

Hi, I'm here to discuss about rating gains and losses in variants. Usually, white has a significant advantage in the opening with exotic variants (e.g., +2 in atomic), but winning/loosing with black still yields the same rating change as winning/loosing with white. I believe this should be changed and compensated, with winning with black yielding a larger rating gain compared to winning with white and loosing with black yeilding less of a rating loss compared to loosing with white.
That doesn't matter, since you will play white and black about the equal amount of times.
Yeah, that's true, but there is still a problem. Let's say when I play black, I get a higher rated player (e.g., +100-200), and when I play white, I get a lower rated player (e.g., -100-200), then I would loose a lot of rating but not gain that much rating. That's my problem, because it actually happens to me quite a lot. For now, I have to resort to aborting some games which will be a detriment to my rating. @Cedur216 said in #2:
