The theme is quite unique and interesting as it gives the OTB feeling. Hope to get it at Lichess.

The board geometry doesn't have effect on the OTB feeling. You can still pre-move, even though in the article it said you can't. You can also click a piece, but it doesn't lock and you can move another one. It is not real, OTB mode, even if I wish it was. Great April Fools prank! (Even though it didn't work!)

No I wasn't talking about OTB mode existing, I was just saying that you can go into 3d mode, completely irrespective of OTB mode existing or not. It doesn't have any of the features but it's just a 3d mode you can do on lichess
