Post Your Preffered Time Control

40 moves in 90 minutes plus 30 minutes for each 20 minutes thereafter. On the Lichess clock that would basically equate to 90 + 30: rate being equal at move 60. After that, the Lichess setting would require faster endgame moves but that would be okay.

Of course, nobody will ever play that limit in online game matching, so tell me I'm dreaming.

I like the 15+14 for Rapid on Lichess! That’s the most it will allow before it is considered a Classical time control game! I also like the 30+30 time control.
1/4+0 because dirty flagging = overpowered, lefongs = overpowered, blundering a queen for getting 2 seconds of their time = overpowered

For online, I also prefer 3+2. For OTB, I guess I might prefer 40/90, SD/30, +30. I've also played 40/120, SD/30, d5, but I prefer the 30 second increment to the 5 second delay.

The CCA has switched to delays recently (30 second delays instead of increments), and I can't understand why they would do that. It probably won't make the games finish any faster (a few minutes at most), but it does make time trouble worse (because you can't accumulate more time).

Really? You prefer longer online? Most people prefer longer time controls OTB and shorter online.
