Second Classical Swiss-Knockout Championship.

I changed the name from Classical Chess Championship, Multi-stage Challenge to a slightly better but still not great name :D

The 2nd CS-KC will have a slightly changed format and have a 5th place knockout alongside the 1st place one.
This time around. Every game will be 60+30 rated.

The swiss portion of this event is a five-round 60+30 swiss Open to all players.

After the swiss, the four highest-placing players go through to a 60+30 knockout with best-of-two matches. If a match is tied, the player who placed better in the swiss portion goes through. The champion of the swiss portion chooses their semi-final opponent from the three options. The higher-placing player in the swiss portion always starts the match with the black pieces.

In a knockout for 5th place, the 5-8th highest placing players in the swiss go through to a 60+30 knockout with best-of-two matches. If a match is tied 1-1, the player who placed higher in the swiss portion goes through.

Pairings are the 5th highest rated player in the swiss portion against the 8th and 6th highest placing against the 7th.

To join the event, write in the forum, "I commit to playing all 5 to 9 of my 60+30 games." Each event round will take one week to complete. glhf!

3rd place and 7th place are decided based on swiss final standings.

This event will start on the 25th of April.

Also, I'll mention your elo when you join is the elo you will be paired as though you have. If you are provisional exceptions might be made. All games are rated unless both players agree to have their game unrated.
I commit to playing all 5 to 9 of my 60+30 games (of course :D)
I guess I commit. Just all my rounds will be in the morning for my opponents :)
