Lichess broke, i lost ELO and i did not get a refund.

I feel your pain. These things happen, we cant control them. That is why, when you play, you must be willing to take a calculated risk of all of these uncontrollable situations happening. For example, I was standing in line and bored but wanted to play a blitz game on my phone, then my food was ready and so I was playing while grabbing and holding my food. Luckally I was able to pay attention and play well during that time. But also for example this other time I was at a car dealership and waiting for my car to get ready, then when it was ready I had to focus less on the game and deal with that. OR there was a time I lost elo from starting some blitz games when I was driving in the mountains with my friend who was taking us hiking. I lost alot of elo from that but I was really bored and wanted to play.

Therefore, treat every game as if there is a calculated risk where a certain situation you cannot control, like losing connection, or having to deal with nonsense happens. It is just a privilege we must all deal with as human beings, and that is what life is all about.

You can apply to the charity site, "Fair Rating Points for All." Tell them your story. They have a warehouse full of rating points and they will send some to anyone who lost them by unfair connection or server problems. Limit is 20 total points per player, and no more than 3 separate incidents. They send the points by regular postal service so it might take about two weeks before they arrive.

By the way, if anyone has gotten rating points they do not deserve, please send them to this site, so they can be fairly redistributed. Donations are not tax deductible.
