I premoved but it was showing that I timed out. This happened several times
Maybe you were pre-moving on a square occupied by your own piece, in that case the pre-move won't be executed.

Yes it might have happened like this or you might gone in an network probs so check on that too or the the other person didn’t take that pawn and u didn’t keep the next move on time

Yeah @Kumbaya_Haha and @Saho_Maverick I wanted to tell the same. @ARHAMMITTAL13 these maybe the reasons.

The problem is poor connection. The premove doesn't reach the opponent's server in time and the game ends in a timeout. Try to get a more stable connection or play longer time controls.
