I've accidentally changed my username

My username used to be "ajTronic", but now, I accidentally changed it to be "ajTroniC" .
How can I change it back?

I agree that someone shouldn't be allowed to change their username more than once, but I think they should be allowed to change it back to their original username.

Please look at this @thibault.

Thank you!
This isn't something you can do "on accident"??

Well, I was experimenting on it and then, I don't know if it was me or not, it changed the username.
I know you can't change it more than once but can I change it more than once lol.

Is it ok to change it 7000 times if you're simply toggling it between upper and lower case? Like, if you keep doing it on accident?

"I don't know if it was me or not"!
It was either you or it was hackers. Place your bets ladies and gentlemen... place your bets.
This topic has attracted several trolls, all of whom have never made a mistake and none of whom offer any solutions.

lichess doesn't allow name changes aside from a one-time only change to the casing.

Players have complained about this limitation before and will do so again. My guess is that the reason for this limitation is because the username is used as the primary key for the account in the MongoDB database. Using names as primary keys is bad practice, but that's water under the bridge. Google 'Natural keys vs Surrogate keys' for more information.

Nobody would object to the one-time option of reverting to the original name, but this feature doesn't exist yet.

The only solution for now is to create a new account with the name that you want.

Personally, I think that ajTroniC looks cool!

That's not what trolling means.

I don't see a solution from you other than to create a new account which is so obvious as to be not worth mentioning.

@Doofenshmirtz , I guess creating a new account would work if you were new. But on the other hand, if you weren't new, you would have to get your rating back. If you have any teams you would loose them. So all in all, it's not a great idea.

I'm not saying it's a good idea, just an obvious one.
@ajTroniC your name is not bad, just stick to it.

I've come up with a bunch of funny names I could give to myself but I can't do it either.
