Kramnik leaves chess.com

Interesting: Hans hasn't played a game since he beat Vladimir Kramnik and he didn't play in either Titled Tuesday today nor is he streaming.

Has he been silently banned again?

Same here dear friend and, (forgive the presumption,) brother. I would also not at all welcome or appreciate Anatoly (K. of the Duma) here.

Almost looked it up Duma but remembered the instant I went to do so.

I would, however welcome Anand.

Namaste.
As well as Garry Kimovichh Kasparov (well, come already Garik!! <3 ... <3 )
Bless your dear mother.
I remember a time as a child when I had a thirst for chess when there was not even 1 serious competitor around me.
Now you can find your favorite opponent even for very long games on this site with a few minutes of waiting.
This gift is in danger of destruction.
This is not the point of accusing.
The issue is that online chess is a new phenomenon and care should be taken until the culture of using it is established.
Man by nature is tempted to abuse where there is no supervision.
It should be viewed realistically.
In addition to fighting against this abuse, every chess player should do her/his part in this matter. It is very important to make young people and teenagers realize that cheating actually takes chess away from them
Our children are our future.

It is also important to get those who do wrong (Carlsen, Rensch et al) to actually stop.

And in he promotion of ethical values in the future generations, moral strength and fiber as well as vigor and understanding go hand in hand with simple rule following. Indeed moral fiber strength and understanding are not identical, and are more essential, basic, strong and powerful, and of course lead to the natural result of human decency.

(Which goes out the window in a vast way, when ego, rage and abuse -- and yes, Cheating (check "GM" Tari, and those others who publically endorse gaslighting; excuse, forgive/ignore and engage in, cheating) are given free reign.

Peace and health.

It is quite doubtful that Hans has been silently banned again. The most probable reason for him not to have participated in today's Titled Tuesday games or be streaming is that he will be playing in the FIDE World Junior Championship in Mexico City which begins tomorrow. (He still qualifies as being U20 for this tournament; one has to be born on or after 1/1/2003.)
Very well said; as well as simply taking a break. I know Lasker did a lot of this

And believe me, this is not a belittling shot at Lasker.

Namaste.
Well fact that people cheat in online chess isn't in doubt and proof is that people are regularly banned for doing so. Personally I think if a player cheats both players lose since cheater has cheated themselves out of a game of chess and opponent has lost unfairly.

However one aspect that's perhaps neglected is that players can be negatively impacted if they believe their opponent is cheating regardless of whether it's true or false.

For example I'm pretty sure that Carlsen and Kramnik were convinced Niemann was cheating when he played against them. Now if you assume that he was innocent in the Sinquefield Cup and that subsequently considering Niemann's games must be the most scrutinised games on the planet for cheating it would be idiotic for him to cheat online when he's just managed to get his career back on track then all the cheating happened in his opponent's minds.

However if you're convinced your opponent is cheating then you'll start thinking about how your opponent is cheating rather than the game in question. To make matters worse you may fear going into certain objectively best variations since going for a double edged tactical variation against Stockfish is a surefire way to lose. So this means you play inferior moves and then when you lose it reinforces your belief that your opponent cheated as that's how they won and it also helps protect your ego since you can claim you didn't lose but it was down to cheating.

I think in the case of Kramnik there was also a case when he got flagged in a blitz game in a totally won position and he didn't like that opponent played on to get the win on time.
Not really friend. That's one of the talking points of these accusers.

It comes from simply, ego and smallness and anger, as well as wrongness of mind.

If you look at the pattern you will see it play out ad infinitum in these (what's the Hebrew word again--?) accusers.

Sounds like you may not yet have noticed -- pretty much everything people do is 'insane' ... and quite literally ...

Anyways, great point ...
