Karjakin didn't develop as well as Carlsen early on - it seems to me. The pawn advantage was worthless due to the doubling up of two on F2 and F3 from move 16. I'm surprised he didn't at any point try to advance them.
Carlsen needs to do something soon, or he's going to lose his title. It seems to me that he's psychologically being hammered at the moment. The 7 draws, the press reaction to Karjakin after the win in game #8... and now he's unable to do anything against a player whose development early on was surely below what one would expect.

This party is not to say that Carlsen is the favorite of the match. Karjakin has has all the chances to take the crown.
I think Karjakin made game 9 longer than it needed to be just to get Carlson to press even harder in game 10, we will see if it works!
Carlsen has 2 whites in the remaining 3 games, he only needs to win 1 game to be back in the match! And I will think he will do that, Karjakin doesn't play with ambition enough.
