Why build a whole new mobile app when the current one works fine?

I do not understand why would lichess move from ionic capacitor to flutter for no apparent reason. The current mobile app is very fast and before checking out its source code i thought it was completely native, Really on a samsung A31 it doesnt even lag at all to the point where if im making an app i'll make use of ionic capacitor for sure!
Well, of course it works fine. However, it lacks a number of features that the main site has as it seems limited.
So, it's understandable why the developers are making changes as it's a work in progress.

As shown above, the current mobile version has no access to forums, blogs & whatnot.
The developers might make them available and probably refurbish the GUI and make it look more like the web version.

The illustration below shows what I mean.
It's just an example of a refurbished GUI (with a customizable background & other optional features), it's not an actual thing.

Also, show ratings feature works incorrectly in mobile app as I checked now. I have it disabled(not visible ratings), but i can still see my own rating and other player's ratings as well while playing in arena tournaments.
You have no access to swiss unless you go lichess.org website via browser. I myself use Lichess for Swiss more so i think a application update is requried.
i see, i think improving the app would be a much better choice than making a whole new one.

The mobile app doesn't even have the Lobby featuremm
I use the app very often too, although missing the upstairs mentioned features. But don't know what's easier - improving an old or creating a new app.
Improving is very harder than creating new one. I remember recoding my game. The more I add, the more the app gets broken...
