Cheating at "rapid" \ "standard" controls

FIDE ID check might be helpful. Not for all but lets say if you are 2100+ please provide your ID of some sort. Is it easy to get this id just in case? Never played OTB.
I've been playing for about 5 years, thousands of games, and have never, ever, been able to tell a "sure" cheater. Admittedly, I haven't even suspected anyone, as I don't know what I can base such a suspiction on, especially during a game.

How can you be sure? I'm actually interested, not just wasting your time.
High number of engine moves esp 1-2 choice esp. non obvious ones. Stats inconsist3ncies like 1450 blitz player routinly beating 2000 at classical. Move times in hard positions etc,low number of games etc
What's "1-2 choice"?

I had around 1450 in Bullet only a few days ago (it's very fluctuant with me), and around 2050 in Correspondence. Is that suspicious?

Again, this is slightly off topic for this thread but I'm trying to get a better understanding of the topic. Thanks.
I have played 450 games (blitz-rapid) and have only suspected cheating three times, all of which I reported, and two of which were confirmed. I know 450 is not a lot, but I think 1/225 is a number smaller than what is worth to complain about.

@bz "1-2 choice" means the top 2 engine recommendations for a move.
I'm at 5000 games, and I've only seen 4-5 blatant cheaters. That's around 9/10000 cheaters to fair players.
@LifeWaste here is a suggestion for you. Analyze all your games with server side analysis. Based on my observation this helps to detect cheaters (it will also help you to improve)

At least for me this decrease the time for cheaters to be detected and banned to less than one day. If you are really suspicious about some account, analyze their games as well.

In my case I saw that after the analysis the next day some of the suspicious people are banned on the next day.
I mostly play Correspondence and I haven't met a single "cheater" in my 44 games. And correspondence should be the easiest mode to cheat in by far, shouldn't it?

Then again, this is just personal experience, just as yours. We all have to trust the algorithms in this one.

PS: Some people are just not cut out for faster time controls (often comes with age). Doesn't mean that they are more likely to cheat (you could even argue that this group has a bit less competitive thinking than bullet players on average).
