I noticed today I was getting 7-8 points for beating players higher rated than me. It started about 3pm gmt. Normally I get about 10 atleast.
Anyone else notice. Win or losing less points added on and lostt...?
Yes. I just noticed it. Don't know why though. So this answer is of no help.
I knew it anyway I dont mind as it reduces variance...but I couyld tell something was up straight away.
Some games I am winning getting 7 pounts but other guy losing 10 points.. very strange system lol
Looks like the minimum RD was lowered from 60 to 50. Basically, your rating is considered more accurate than before, so rating changes are smaller. The RD will go up if you don't play for a while.
maybe its very strange though as I have playd thousands of games and been smashing blitz non stop recently.
Last few days I have gone through 200 point variance on blitz low of 1700 and high of 1900 plus within in 24 hrs
Thought it was just me, feels a bit mean, only 7 points for beating a +50 rated player.
yeah it's been the same for me. I noticed my RD being 10 lower than normal, but i have no idea why.
Same thing for my games, suddenly +/- 7 or 8 all the time, classics however seem to be unaffected by the change.
