Lichess says that they have internet lag compensation. My internet has popped out like 20 times and I flagged because of it. When I am in a tournament, I lost a game by lagging, then my internet wasn't fixed and then it paired me with another guy and thus I lost again. This is so stupid. Lichess shouldn't count those games as a lost.
Why are you blaming Lichess? Lichess isn't an internet provider :/
They said they have the internet lag compensation. Plus, if they see my internet is bad, why can't they pause it for me?
After I lost my game while up a queen, I wanted to pause, but then lichess paired me without even showing me the game. Then a second later, I lost!
it does glitch but isnt their fault
@pokemonsmashbros They can't tell the difference between bad internet and someone faking bad internet to gain an advantage over honest players.
Then why do they say about lag compensation?
@pokemonsmashbros lag compensation compensates for lag, not disconnections.
Lag compensation
Lichess compensates network lag. This includes sustained lag and occasional lag spikes. Compensation limits and heuristics are based on time control and already compensated lag, so the result should feel reasonable for both players. As a result, having a higher network lag than your opponent is not a handicap!
This is lichess' own word.

I have lagged in some games, they don't compensate
