I play and love the sicilian, but the article was kinda lame.
Back when I was still playing it, the main reason for doing so seemed to be to get crushed in under 20 moves again and again and again.

I've dropped the french and wanna try the sicilian again. Some lines like the Tarrasch are too passive for black for my taste.

Let's apply the fifth reason to other fields. Rock stars use drugs, so... Movie/tv stars use drugs, so... Athletes use drugs, so... Many in the military use drugs, so...
I avoided the Sicilian for the longest time due to reason #5, but now it's easier to memorize the first 20 moves and agree to a draw. It's no longer fashionable to actually think during a game.
