Windows vista better than windows 10 for lichess

Hi i was playing lichess on windows 10 64 bit the performance was alright but the gameplay wasn't smooth in my experience it had a sluggish feel when moving pieces when playing games and i havent been able to figure out why it is slow on such a fast laptop

anyways my laptop is in the shop now and i started up my old laptop with windows vista and is about 11 years old i think and i played a few games on it and its way faster and smoother for playing games and im not sure how and why though but its odd

both laptops same browser same internet but the laptop that is windows vista is smoother gameplay and not sluggish on this site

maybe it is some internet problem with your new laptop, or something else broke, hopefully you get it fixed

win 10 is a slow worthless social media machine that steals all your data and uses all your cpu cycles updating aps and stealing data

get a linux box

i have windows 10 pro and it's working just fine for me on 32-bit

The graphics card can play a role, maybe your win 7 laptop has a better card. Despite that i also favour win 7 over win 10. Linux is a no opt because it doesnt have a native Total Commander :-p

Also the browser plays a role. Older Firefoxes generally perform bad on any chess website, Chrome is fine here.

If you read my post i mentioned i used the same internet speed browsers and only thing different is windows 10 64 bit and windows vista 32bit.......the windows vista laptop is a slower laptop it is 11 years old .......but it runs this site smoother than my windows 10 laptop.

i have win10 64bit, and i use Edge... lichess is perfect

I like and use Linux and in my experience it's faster than Windows too.

thats is what I use krusader.org/ as a replacement for Total Commander and I miss nothing.

somehow i doubt lichess uses the GPU
