people which never resign

Uh, what? A win is always extremely satisfying, and probably even more so if I was playing at a disadvantage the whole time.
@will_is_myth, to be honest, I'm one of those players that never resign. I am weak, I'm fully aware, but my philosophy is that, if I blunder a strong piece or end up playing at a disadvantage, I'll read the positions more carefully and try harder to equalize or force a mate, training me to look for equalizing tactics or forced moves to improve my position. In the case of overwhelming material advantage, even when Im down to just my king vs a R Q, I won't resign, I force my opponent to practice those mating sequences, and train myself how to look for a draw in a clearly losing position. Its not always successful, but I have managed to stalemate a few times due to my opponents getting cocky, or inexperience.

I kind of carry the philosophy over from when I was in the Army, though my thought is, at my level, its better to keep the fight going, and possibly learn more than give up and learn very little.
"In the game you posted I would probably have continued"

Ok, @HommeSaoul , now I understand you are the right person which I need pay attention in comments, because I know you think exactally like my oponent. I'm saying that because some people try justify his 'I dont resign too', but they have
some circumstances in mind like: bullet, time trouble, little disadvantage, with initiative, etc .. etc ..

In lichess.org, for example, I noticed my opponents don't play in severe material disadvantage if I have more than 1min in the clock. But at chess.com I'm invited to checkmate! Ok, when i reach 2000 or 1950+ in chess.com I start see some 'insta-resign' too!. Maybe that behaviours if for 1800- ? I don't know...

Again, I'm not talking about bullet or time trouble. pinguingyn is chekmated or checkmate because in blitz or bullet with time trouble you are more concerned with moving than reflecting if you are lost or not ...

In the position I showed, after the blunder I had 2min and 44 seconds. I'm not idiot, I know if both players have just some seconds it is interesting play on.. But when I have time to chat I always say: "oh, come on man, I have N minutes on clock, just resign". I know, that is very unsportsmanlike, but I get angry in that cases. That is because I'm try understand what are in the mind of that people!!! I dont get angry if my oponent is a beginner, but for 1800+ players I know he know I know win that postion with many minutes on clock! At the end, that guy are a queen down with no initiative, a totally free-queen...
I've changed my attitude on this. Its annoying when you are 'won' and the opponent doesn't resign. But I get it. The other day on another site I was playing a rapid game and was K+p v K. I was the lone K. His K was behind the pawn which I know is a draw. I blundered and his K was in front of the p which I know is a win. But his pawn was on the g file. So he made a mistake and when my K was on h1 he stalemated me. (It was weird because suddenly it was GAME OVER and I had no idea at first what happened. ha )

But I will often resign in a lost position because I just don't really want to play on when I know I blundered and the other guy isn't going to 'screw up' the win. It depends on their rating level. Vs an 1100 - 1400 I might not resign. But against a 1700 (though possible) I figure they are not going to screw it up against a low rated guy like me. Out of respect I might resign because I feel like grinding it out is really punishing them for outplaying me.

But in blitz and bullet its only a few mins so IMO resigning early isn't as much of an issue as when its a slow game.

(Take this with a grain of salt since I'm a low rated player. :) )

IF he/she is titled.....yeah, I'll quickly resign if down more than +3 pieces. i don't want to waste their time.

IF they are really attacking me and i feel like we are at war.....lol...well, i'll play it out if not titled.

IF they play some crazy stuff and I go up like +15 in pieces, i hope they DON'T resign.

IF it's a tournament....well, who knows....

IF some joker chats away, i'll probably never resign unless he's a friend.

To people who never resign,i checkmate them with many knights :) (If i have enough time on the game clock)
Ok, after work hard my rating here stay above 2000 and in chess.com above 2000 too. In that level my opponent stop play positions with huge disadvantage and make a educated resign! When theys try play on, or I have just few seconds to realize my advantage, or the position have still some trickys and my advantage is not without danger!

My conclusion is: when I lose 150/200 points (eg from 2100 to 1900), my opponents are dare, even disrespectful, attempt extremely risky and reckless attacks, etc. Somehow it bothers me because I feel like I'm not that way.

For my argument not to sound arrogant, I must warn you that ideas such as 'disrespectful', 'risky', 'reckless', etc. Change their meaning (in intensity and / or depth) according to level. So everything I said can be applied to any rating difference, for example: 1600+ versus 1800+.

The solution is: try stay on my own level where I understand and accept all 'play philosophy' and 'play style' and 'psychology behaviours', etc..
