Do you need to be titled to teach?

Been thinking about teaching chess to some beginners in my city, or on lichess if people want? But idk if im good enough? whats you thoughts? do I need to be titled?
I think you are good enough man. Those numbers are pretty high. Especially if you are thinking of teaching beginners, you should be able to provide them with basic knowledge and beginner tactics. Good luck on your chess teaching carrer! :)
You can never be too bad to teach, as long as there is someone worse than you/could learn from you.
@AtomicChessSensei
Well you can be bad at teaching unfortunately but it is not the case of Steve but I like to look at the positive side of it and I see plenty of chess lessons that can be given to a new player, after all there is a wide spectrum of skill from terrible move, bad move, ok move, good move and brilliant move etc
No you don't need to be titled you can learn one part of the game specifically and teach that to a beginner, obviously a titled player will do better usually but still it is better some nice teaching than no teaching at all, in chess many times you need to relearn things but perhaps It's the way It goes as play for example is dependant of tactical ability that can be measured by degrees or rating,
1 move, 2 moves 5 moves...
So you need to understand the pupil ability and not confuse teaching with best play.
You can create a website and offer courses their for a good prize, thats the only way you can do it online or maybe ask others for your lessons to contact you
After all I have seen hot WCM coaches who are only 1800
@concrete_steve The only requirement for teaching in any field, hobby, and subject is to acknowledge the extent of your knowledge. Generally there is a bit of a minimum requirement in skill(for example I wouldnt trust any meaningful knowledge to be passed on from a preschooler teaching English to a kid in day care. But, even then that would be the end of the world.) As long as you can get somebody up to your level at least, that is a job well done. Though if you would really want to do a good job teaching, make sure you are honest about your skill level. And, make sure to teach people how to play their best. Have them do as you say not as you do. You want the people you teach to surpass you, even if it is not likely. Make sure to enforce good habits. Don’t let them play bullet or blitz regularly. The best time format is rapid as they have time to calculate but they don’t fall into the bait of losing track of time. Have them train with puzzles. Have them watch videos. Encourage improvement, and make sure they stay passionate. Nothing is worse than when someone loses passion because something gets too “boring” or too “hard”. I’m sure you will do a great job.
