bell sound for beginning the game

Dear Lichess Team,
I use Firefox. I think it is also in other browsers the case. Now the bell sound is coming when white makes the first move. Thats stupid in that case, before the last updates, the bell sound was incoming when the board with a new game has opened. Usually, it takes quite a while for me in rapid getting a good opponent. I am in another window during that time and I do not recognize when anybody accepted my challenge, because I do not hear the bell sound.

i think you should hold a zoom meeting with lichess to solve this problem!!!

I think the bell sound should be replaced with a "Uh yeah baby" by Paff_morris

It's likely you are running into the same thing that many other users have done. The firefox update changed how the browser works, so it now blocks sounds before you interact with the page. You can change this by doing what I posted here.

To change it only for lichess
1. Go to lichess.
2. Open site settings (Crtl + i )
3. Permissions and then change autoplay.
