It is very simple. Racism is never okay. Is it still a thing in 2019? Yes. Should it be a thing? No. It's fucking stupid.

But this shouldn't be a discussion at all here. This thread is about a 8yo boy winning a chess tournament. It is a happy inspiring story. This forum is not the place for you, especially not on posts like this, to vent your hate. Please behave. Lets instead be proud of him and hope that he keeps playing and contributing to the chess community.

@lovlas agreed 100%... Guys, this is just a story of a person who came from a poor family who managed to win an amazing tourney, and get funding for his family! If you have a problem with that, you are heartless. Also, if you don't think that 1480 is an accomplishment for an 8 year old, take into account that he started chess a year before! Just one year! I was an avid chess learner, but didn't grow that fast!
