Upside Down Chess Game Collection with Annotations

Hello there,

Yesterday there was a fun tournament of Upside Down Chess, a variant which i ve had never heard of before the announcement of the tournament. But the games turned out to be quite fun. Playing couple games in the tournament, i started discovered some reoccurring concepts and tactical patterns in this variant, which i wanted to share with you guys. So i created a study of game collections with my own annotations and explaining thought process during the games.

You can find all of the 15 commentated games here in this study: lichess.org/study/RDtcPDNu

2 Example games from the study:

Here is also tournament link: lichess.org/tournament/teSmrRnx

Hope you guys enjoy, feel free to give a feedback!
I also created a new Upside Down positions to play with. If anyone wants to try it out, simply tell me. This positions looks more balanced according to engine.

One can basically see a queen as a piece that can act like bishop+rook. So when pawns will promote, there will be a piece that can act like bishop, rook and queen. Other pieces like knight and king is also there, so all the diversity in mobility is kinda covered in this starting position as well.
Funny stuff; as a minor detail; in your analyses of first game it says; i was hoping for an exchange on c5 but is should be "f4", no ?
@JanBoel Oh thats correct, thanks for pointing out. Old habits die hard :) as i was black, i was thinking in usual notation all the time. Anw, good catch!
