If Bobby Fischer and Magnus Carlsen played against each other

#1
Both Fischer and Carlsen are two incredible players from two completely different eras. I think that if you could send Carlsen back in time to play Fischer, Carlsen would come out on top. It would be close, but I think Carlsen would win. For the sake of argument, both players are prime.
i cant join any tournaments ;-; its like when i press join the join button just like still be there i cant join pls help me :C
Fischer was the best of his time, same as Carlsen. So both are the same figure, just in different moments of history. Therefore asking who will win between them is the same that asking who will win if Fischer or Carlsen played against themselves.
Let's be honest though. The level of difference between Fischer and his colleagues at his peak was close to 150 points (with a 20+ game win streak), that would mean Carlsen would have to be rated 2970 ish (120 points higher than he is now, and 5 times the difference between him and Fabiano right now).

If we are talking about the two playing at their peak I would need some serious convincing to believe that Fischer with modern day databases and engines wouldn't be absolutely insane. Therefore I do think Carlsen loses this one if we are accounting for differences between eras.

With this being said Carlsen has had better longevity and maintained his strength whilst Fischer was basically just a 2 year span.
@Pelegri1 (#4) Well obviously, in fischer vs fischer game, fischer would win And in a carlsen vs carlsen game, carlsen would win.
Carlsen if modern times because Fischer supposedly hated how modern chess is done, so he probably wouldn't have been motivated enough to train if he held his mindset when he was in his prime. Fischer if you take Carlsen back into his time. Honestly though, I have no idea since I'm not skilled enough to analyze and understand each of their strengths. I'm just going off of hearsay and their reputations.
But to be honest it is like comparing apples and oranges. They can't be compared
