How does correspondence work?

Hello, I'm gonna start a correspondence game and I'm kinda confused. Is it fine if we do 1 move per day? and then just leave? Can someone explain the rules to me? I'm kinda confused about how it works.
@Engineering_Building Correspondence is like extended chess. You get multiple (or maybe just one) days to move, and the rules are the same. You don't have to stay online the whole time, and you can play multiple games at once.
All the best
Yes you have a certain number of days for each move. Any games you are playing will show on your home page and you will be notified when it is your move.

Opening books and databases can be used during the game but computer analysis is still not allowed. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much cheat enforcement in correspondence games on Lichess.
You have 24 hours to make each move. If you don't make a move before the 24 hours is up you will lose on time.
