Magnus Carlsen & Simon Williams have the same title as Grandmasters??

I dont understand how weaker GMs like Gingergm or Maurice Ashley and other GMs with 2400 ratings are categorized as Grandmasters same Rank as Magnus or Hikaru with over 400 rating points difference thats some kind of an insult i think there should be another title above Grandmaster that can be used for players over 2750 ratings IMO

I have no title with my 1304 ELO, and there are many people who do not have titles with over 2000 ELO.

@damnsaltyvanfleet What is the difference? One is closer to the upper end, the other is closer to lower end. A 2000 may want to not be in the same Title category as a 1300. IMO Titles are already stupid enpugh, there is no need to make more of them.

@savagechess2k Titles like WCM and ACM are certainly necessary though

Does it matter if a 2400 and a 2800 have the same title? They're still just a 2400 and a 2800. The rating is enough to tell them apart.
