Well, they could always ignore the crash and let the server stay down. ;)
less dumb maybe? =D
@jeffforever. Yeah it's free which is great. But that is not an excuse for messing up. If someone got banned by accident I think you would be very angry or frustrated. Sure something less severe happened here, but a mistake is a mistake
@shadow1414 Whose mistake was it? And what exactly did he wrong?
@shadow1414 Read the 9th post. Or let me quote from it for your convenience:
"The server crashed - For sure Lichess tries to make for all of us the best possible - but a crash is something out of control."
@Katzenschinken. Ok fair enough. I still stand by my argument . Though that might be a stupid choice
Fun fact:
A service crashing and penalizing you for their crash is not magically okay if the service is free.
Fun fact 2:
Being unable to point out legitimate problems with Lichess will prevent it from getting better.
So, the blind Lichess fans can go around burying their heads in the sand. I'm glad there are people willing to point out dumb behaviors in the app.
@ChessGawdd Also to you the question what would you have done differently to prevent the crash?
@bossans2003 You still had 5 minutes, it's enough to win the gqme. Blame your south America n wifi.
