A step down in competition

I don't know about the rest of you, but compared to the pool of Anonymous players, you guys are patzers!

Strange how much worse everyone plays with an official account ...
Interestingly, I find the exact opposite! When I play anonymously, I get a much higher win ratio than usual. I would guess the average blitz rating of my anonymous opposition to be about 1650.
I just put it to the test. All my games were like this one

And no one ever resigns, they just walk away like crying little children. No, I can't play there.
Black had 5.8 seconds left on the last move, I am not entirely sure if that is proof that black "walked away like a crying little child" or just lost track of the time remaining. Black spent an average of 4.16 seconds per turn on the other 13 moves (the first does not count), so timing out with 5.8 seconds is not inconceivable.
I win a lot not logged in but I find myself playing differently, not really caring due to rating points, I'd say people play better with accounts but the chances of you playing a computer anonymously is increased a bit as well as unfinished games
Some years ago I played an FM there (chat was enabled back then). That was fun.
You can get quite decent players at short time controls in the anon. pool. I've played a fair amount of players at my level at hyper (ca. 2200, cause I'm quite slow). I remember 2-3 opponents being quite a bit better (I'd say 2400+) with human-like play.

Players at 1+0 are quite a bit weaker on average (I can win with 1. e4 2. Qh5 3. Qxf7+ against most of them). But there are still some players around 1900-2000 out there. I've encountered a player or two consistently beating me at 1+0 as well, but players of this caliber are almost never seeking 1+0 in the anonymous pool. At 3+0 or so the pool is even weaker than 1+0 imo.

So things aren't that much different compared to the normal pool without a set formula. I would even go as far as saying that the competition is stronger for low rated players (1200-1300 or so), because they can not be formula-blocked as in the normal pool.

There are cheaters in the anon. pool as well [very rare]-- scripting those 0.32-0.4 sec / move ;)
