Otb mode was an april fools prank
1. Start lifting weights so it's easier to move the heavy pieces
2. Try to smell bad to confuse your opponent. Dont shower until your tournament, and bring canned tuna to snack on.
3. Make sure to grunt when you move a piece. Watch tennis players, this is a great tactic.
4. Confidence is key. Make sure to erode your opponents confidence by insulting them before, during, and after the match.
5. Remember to have a good time!

1. Train tactics and review Master games on a real chess board so you get used to the different perspective.
2. Practice to hit the chess clock and write down your move
3. If you know your opponents before a round, look up which opening they play.
4. Take your time for your moves, dont blitz in the opening even if you know theory, because this will likely lead to faster play in the middle game = bad.
5. Make yourself familiar with the rules, i.e. when u may leave the playing venue.
