Faster in terms of what?
i.) PLAYING FAST - Just start of playing ultra , hyper and bullet but without perfection , it's a waste as players may mate you before the game ends......... ( Children's are allowed to read this rule! )
ii.) PLAYING FAST AND GOOD - Preferably , start playing slower games and understand the language of tactics , try out some puzzles every day , don't just move in hurry , think for good moves , if you find one..... Try to find out a better move than that.... As you'll keep playing tactics will automatically start developing in you and yourself you'll find better moves and will play faster..... Then after that , switch to time control less than that and you'll become a pro in fast chess!

btw not the person to give advice but I beat fast bullet players in my rating by just not thinking too hard, I don't know if that still works on higher ratings

@Purtzian If it's only about speed, then I would recommend you Ultrabullet, it helped me the most. The best is even to have less material like only king (and not getting checkmated though), so you can make premoves faster.

i rely on this method of praticing purely for less than 1 year and im about 1900 compared to in 2020 where i was 1400

@Purtzian The key rely on visualization skill , the better you play blindfolded the more accurate and faster you play and also play ultrabullet against computer will help
