Some notes on what other players have said:
I don't agree with Episcopul. 2 hours of tactical training per day is way too much. First of all, you most likely won't be able to keep that up. Secondly, consistency is way more important than amassing lots of training hours on one day and then doing nothing for three days. In different words: spaced learning beats massed learning, in almost any area. Doing 20 to 30 minutes of tactics per day is already completely sufficient.
Logical Chess: Move by Move rocks!

Chess Structures a Grandmasters Guide, by Mauricio Flores Rios, is also a stunner.

The reason these books have been appealing is because of how thoughtfully organized the content is. Both books allow for absorption. They also share the same annotation styles (phew).

If you're interested in the Chess Structures book, there is a study here on Lichess that touches on it. It isn't complete but its a great way to dip your toe in and see if its a book you would like, and to show appreciation for the folks who put out studies on Lichess. John Bartholomew also created a youtube book review! Find me another pursuit/hobby with as much support from talented educators upfront as chess, and I will eat my shoe :) Heres some links.
