Weird players

What do u think about ppl having lets Say 1500 elo in Blitz /bullet, puzzle storm score under 25 but having 2300+ in 10+0 ?

To be honest, having a higher bullet rating than rapid rating is a lot weirder. At least at Lichess.

My bulletrating is higher than my rapidrating so not so weird.

No I think it is even quite common especially for strong bulletplayers.

I just clicked on a few profiles and each time the bulletrating was much higher than the rapidrating.

Only one of these doesn't have a question mark behind the rapid rating. And it's still weird.

The crux here is that (really) high level players usually don't play rapid at all. At least not online at Lichess.

The only thing that the rating difference depicts is the preference of the player. In my case, I hate bullet and don't really like blitz (only use it to mess around when I'm bored), hence my rapid and classical rating is much higher. Other people almost only play bullet or fast blitz and nothing weird about that either. Your strongest ratings really just show your actual preferences on your chosen platform.

a bunch of gms and ims are per definition not your run-of-the-mill average non-weird players. you can't point to a bunch of 0.1%-ers and say "look these weird guys all are like that, so it's not weird".

I analyzed this with a bot. The bot told me, only nerds care about this.
