invisible women in chess?

Another part of this is just the cockyness of the male players. Most of us just need to act like decent people and all this will go away
I'm posing as a sexy promiscuous woman on most chess websites and NEVER faced any discrimination!
Wrote more than two lines so a warning: English is not my native tongue, I hope I wrote more than gibberish.

Here is the problem with sexism or any other discrimination: Not everybody sees the same things as problematic.
It is possible that you never faced discrimination, @Me31years, and are telling the whole truth as it is. That would mean that you were pretty lucky.
The more realistic option is, that you don't say the truth. Not because you are lying but because you have a higher tolerance against sexist behaviour.

An example. Donald Trump asked Michael Cohen about his 15 year old daughter "That's your daughter? When did she get so hot?."
She herself said about incidents like this "The story is a little bit less clear to me, I'm sure many women can relate, you become desensitized to men making these kinds of comments to you, and you allow them to go over your head and you kind of tune out the noise".

She is obviously thick skinned. She was able to "tune out the noise" and not to be bothered by it (at least on a surface level). But that does not mean there was no noise.

For other people this can be absolutely sickening and we should respect that and them.

I don't usually pose as a woman. But in some RPGs I played female characters with female names. And I got to see the harassment pretty fast. It's not always direct attacks. It can be aggressive attempts at flirting as well. Or some things like the story @Anna-S-Fuchs told: People just demand to be better than you since they think they should be because they are male and you are not.

That's not an environment that is inviting to women. It's not about creating a safe place. It's about making the environment non-hostile to everybody who doesn't bring hostility to it.
Well, I was actually only making a joke ...

Alright, to make it short, I don't believe you can change a**holes but thankfully in an online environment, we can block and report them, and act more mature than them by not repaying their meanness. You can't filter out every negative person before they sign up and a perfect safe space is an illusion.
Oh, sorry, that one didn't translate well.^^
The problem with it is, that I heard that one as a serious argument before...
