Breaking the 1500 plateau?

Looking for some advice on breaking past 1500, I'm finding this difficult? Ignore my last few games as I am starting to tilt again. Do I need to know openings at this stage?

One thing I struggle with is learning an opening from both perspectives? E. G. I can learn the Ruy Lopez as white but not as black, or how to play the Sicilian as white? Is there any good way to get my head around this?
Don't worry too much about openings at your level. Study your own games (especially your losses) and practice puzzles.

Did you look at my last 5-6 games? Because those are not reflective of my skill level.
I based my comment on your rating in general not your games, though i did check out your last game. Below 2000, which I am a hairpin away from, blunders seems to be the common denominator.

Yes, thankfully, ever since I crossed 2250 I have never blundered. None of us do. We even have a secret chat and message board where we mock the < 2000 players and their cluelessness (at least some think we do!).

Try squeezing your brain a bit more, I'm sure you'll work it out.

You haven't played any games? I don't see why I would take advice on competitive chess from a puzzle player.
