Reach a Benko position from the Indian Game, Knights Variation

Hi guys !
I am a Benko player with Black since I try to avoid King's Indian against 1. d4 as I am a beginner and this opening seems to be too hard to master.
What I'd like to know is whether it is possible to transpose to a Benko position from 1.d4 Nf6 Nf3 or should I learn a specific line, still with the idea to avoid the KID.

Thanks
You can reach the Blumenfeld Gambit which has a similar idea:
1. d4 Nf6 2. Nf3 e6 3. c4 c5 4. d5 b5
Personally I avoid playing the Benko but will play a Blumenfeld! Feel free to slate me people!
Thanks. I will try the Blumenfeld and the Benko
White can further delay playing c4 with:
1 d4 Nf6
2 Nf3 e6
3 g3

when 3...b6 leads to the Queen's Indian. Well, at least you have successfully avoided the King's Indian.

Also possible is the riskier 3...b5!?

Of course, White can also play 3 e3 (Colle) or 3 Bg5 (Torre).
