Don't see a way to change the pieces to 3d. I can't play with the flat, it messes up my otb games (which also aren't great, so i need all the help I can get).

eager to test the ios version when it shows. Could there be a 3 version feature matrix or table comparson somewhere (the phone browser version, versus the stable app, and this beta one.
Is it about user invisible differences of implementation. I get lost with more than 2 things in general.
So why one or the other. if already asked and answered somewhere please remind me. i will look. Is there a version for big fingers by the way :)

Can we download it on an Apple device?
What mobile developer in their right mind develops the Android version first? That's actually grounds for testing their sanity or employment status. Having built like 30 mobile apps myself. Second of all what was wrong with the current app, I have had no issues for years.
The current app was buggy.I have seen a lot of complaints (about the current app being buggy) in the feedback section. I assume they made a new app so that those bugs are minimised and more features can be added.

@Lichess Will this be on FDroid soon?
I'm LOVING the new app! I have an iPhone and downloaded it on my GF's android phone, and one of the few things that I see it doesn't have is the opening book in the analysis so far. Maybe we could get a scroll down or a toggle to the opening book, idk, just an idea. I'm VERY impressed with the stockfish implementation! I'm wondering if we'll be able to switch between different engines for analysis in the future or add our own to the app/website. I don't think lichess has allowed anything other than Stockfish(SF) in the few years I've been on the website, but I think it could be interesting to toggle between SF, Leela, or AlphaZero, and other engines like Torch or ChatGPT. However, I totally understand if that would be too demanding on the servers. Honestly, it looks gorgeous, and it functions so well so far! I'm enjoying being able to go to my opponent's profiles in a way that I feel is easier that before and viewing player stats. Although, I haven't found it so easy to do it for my own profile from the game/analysis, maybe it's a bug. if you guys could make it to where I can tap the name for either player to view profiles/stats the same I'd appreciate it! Thank you for allowing profile editing in the app, alongside changing preferences and game behavior. I'm honestly just looking forward for all of the website's/iPhone app features to come to the new app, and for you guys to keep expanding on the app & the website if possible. Lichess has always been fun to play on! Keep up the good work guys!
Is Swiss tournament page finally added?
