Variant where players can see the "score"/material imbalance

I think it would be fun if the players could see the material imbalance (2.3, -0.8, etc) as the game was being played. Like the vertical bar you see on some analyses (e.g. youtu.be/Zjm6rFuzB-M?t=1389).

This would add to the drama because the players would know when one of them makes a mistake that the other player could take advantage of. But will the player find it? What if he misses it and makes a mistake himself? So much drama you could make a soap opera out of it.

It would help with learning too since the player would know when to search harder for a meaningful move.
nobody would want to play that. It is reallly just having an endgame telling you when your opponent makes a blunder, then gaining off of it. Especially because it also shows mate in X
Its often the case that is a clear 'critical' move in a position that is obviously correct if it can be played but needs careful analysis to show whether or not it works. This would take away the skill of deep analysis of critical moves which is an important part of chess.

It has been pointed out that at top GM level a powerful form of cheating would be as minimal as getting a 'Yes' or a 'No' in certain positions (to answer the question of 'does the critical move work?'). The proposal would just implement this directly.
