Better UI

I play lichess and chess.com
I find the simplistic design of chess.com to be more appealing to newer players.
I know if this would happen it would be no small undertaking, and I understand that.
But currently the site feels a good bit cluttered on the home screen.

Btw I know there are some of you that like this UI better, I respect that. This is solely my opinion

(For those of you that don’t know UI means user interface lol)

Does Chess.com have a Zen mode like lichess?

No but the main thing isn’t the games themselves. Just the layout of the home screen and menus

Like you said, this is subjective indeed. But for me, it's the opposite. Chess.com UI feels very cluttered, complex and slow. Lichess is polar opposite in regards to this.

Lichess is prettier than Prettierlichess imo

prettier lichess's design is more modern, lichess's default ui looks like a 2015 website

Modern doesn't mean better, though. I like Lichess as how it is, and I think it should stay that way :)

no one's forcing lichess to change its UI, I was only suggesting prettier lichess to the OP as an alternative
