Made NM recently after a long and arduous journey, congrats brah!
ZOMG
I always wondered, how much worth is a NM? Is it below FM?
For some reason where I come from they don't have that title so I never saw it outside lichess.

NM isn't awarded by all countries and the rating required is not set by FIDE - so yes, it is below FM.

#2 #4 I think the salient question is: how do NMs of various countries score against other titled players? I suppose results may vary by year and by database since FIDE, USCF, and others are always changing their rules.
#5, No that is not the salient question. The rating required is not set by FIDE but by the individual national associations. What you call a 'large banana' may be different in size to my own definition. It doesn't really matter how NMs compare to other titled players.
We aren't really talking about how good one has to be at chess to be awarded an NM title (the answer being, 'it depends on the country and the criteria set by that country at any one time') but whether or not NM is below FM. It IS.
Nonetheless it's damn hard to get to be that good, so well done Joshua!!!

^Even though NM isnt GM, it's still pretty awesome just ask Zug.
