Takeback is for babies

I completely disagree. Takebacks are not "for babies", and don't promote a bad attitude, in my opinion. When playing on a laptop (especially a touch screen with a touch pad), under time control, I think it is perfectly acceptable and in the spirit of the game to offer takebacks for pieces that were obviously misclicked (i.e. you moved the right piece, but stopped it short a square that is an obvious blunder). I wouldn't allow takebacks in an actual chess tournament, but it isn't in the spirit of the game to punish someone for the medium they are using to play the game.

I offer takebacks if I have time on my clock and my opponent's intended move was obviously another. I do it just because I like chess more than to win at it; and if I ask for takebacks is because I am hoping my opponent thinks the same.

Since you were winning, by asking for a takeback you were asking you oppo to give the win. Can't really blame them for not doing that.

More generally though, that game was a 2-0 bullet, hardly the arena for chess puritans who love best play. It is exactly on 1-0, 2-0 where time pressure leads to mistakes, including misclicks. In 10+10 i can see the argument for take-backs, but zero-inc. bullet? No.

i personally allow and ask for takebacks if it was an obvious mouseslip or misclick, i play on a laptop and i misclick sometimes, i don't allow takebacks if it was an obvious blunder however

Makes sense about the bullet games, didn't think about that. I didn't notice this was bullet. But I definitely agree about no takebacks for obvious blunders!
