Do you agree with Kramnik about Hikaru?

He might face consequences for saying certain things (this gets conflated with "canceling" a lot, which makes me think that most people who have a problem with "canceling" really have a problem with people facing any consequences at all for saying and doing awful things, but that's neither here nor there*). He might find that if his speech runs counter to the code of conduct of various professional organizations, they will stop associating with him, as is their right.

I'm genuinely confused as to what you think should happen. Would it be censorship for the mods to ban me if I accused you of cheating and insulted your mother? Is @EmaciatedSpaniard censoring Kramnik with post #16?

Well, yes that's correct you know but he HAS opened his facebook account (for the first time) to do the same and even i think starting to post on twitter (idc its X its gonna stay twitter for me).
Now i am not that much of a chess.com user, so i get all my knowledge about his blogs and all from Gotham, so pls don't mind
About the 54-game win streak being live-streamed though, lemme tell you that he DOES WEAR HEADPHONES, and NOBODY, gave a thought to that, except Kramnik (being the first i think)

I don't know but did they give him a warning that they were going to ban him from blogging
I couldn't be bothered looking, but I wouldn't be surprised, even in OTB tournaments, if many players looked up and to the right (or left) while thinking.

Being one of the Queen's Gambit viewers, i seldom think that was there any way the players can actually visualise the board just like Beth Harmon on the ceiling. Is that possible irl? Can anyone here achieve such a feat? do let me know.
Yes, maybe hikaru can do that, he is an amazing chess player after all.
But maybe he can go to all heights and place some sort of engine or some device at his ceiling. Although, I personally think that would be going way too far?

I was thinking exactly that as I recalled carlsen being interviewed and asked about the scenes of the chess board on the ceiling in the queens gambit. He said something along the lines of he does see the position in his mind, but not like in the movie.

I don't think this is the interview I saw, but here calrsen talks about the queens gambit and looking around

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8XbdDgmJA4

watch any interview, and watch the interviewee after being asked a non trivial question. it's common for people to look up and to the left or right while thinking.

i don't know.

The way I see it, Chess.com is the enemy. How can we support Nakam*ra, the darling of Chess.com, in this controversy? Kramnik deserves our unconditional support in this struggle.
tbh it seems pretty tough to me whether who is right?
who knows, maybe supporting kramnik is correct.
although maybe, supporting chess.com is correct.
But i think i support the 'don't know what's happening here guys, heh' side... cuz like yea man i don't know what the heck is happening here...
to me, when I see it from kramnik's pov, i think that what he did was correct, and what chess.com did was wrong.
Now I don't know why people don't support Kramnik..(can you please tell me why??) cuz to me he seems okay, cuz yes hikaru is a grandmaster, supposedly in the top 3 players, (HEY, I love his content, so its not like i'm biased or anything) and even for other gms or top players, it just seems like.. like we think they have a title, and they earned it through FIDE so they can't cheat, right? But i mean, they can, cuz like chess.com closed 3 gm accounts in the past 3 months (Source: GothamChess) so that definitely CAN happen...dunno its my feeling
Buuuut, on the other hand,
I also think that Kramnik was just going mad about all of this situation! Like what? 2-3 posts a day?
Now we have to keep in mind that he was on the topic of cheating BEFORE hikaru's streak too.
dunno maybe he'll join lichess or get more active here (if he has a acc) and start posting his blogs HERE. Dunno what Lichess will do then...
Also I am wondering whether FIDE could've come into contact with chess.com and told them to do so?
Any answers about this probably?

If FIDE did this (I believe it would never do) but if it did, it would simply be scandalous. Chess.com does not have any decision-making power over punishments for chess players before FIDE. Chess.com can ban players only within the confines of its private dictatorial kingdom, only on its website and nothing else. The maximum authority in world chess is FIDE, chess.com is just another PAY TO WIN style chess website grabbing its coins on the image of professional players and thousands of amateur players. Yes thousands, millions of players and just some of the cheap marketing.
