Risk or playing safe?

I have a question for more advanced players than I.
It is about Move No. 9 in the following Bullet game. I am new to Bullet.

Is it worth taking such risks for a possible mate in fast Bullet Games, or is it better to always play safe?

Thank you

Take the rook. Playing Qd5 without taking the it screams mate in 1 and it can be defended anyway.
I recommend not playing for tricks and instead playing the moves you consider best, even if that's a less effective strategy than trying to trick your opponents into blundering mate. Some people play 1. b3 d5 2. Bb2 e6 3. Bxg7 in bullet, hoping for 3. .. Nf6 4. Bxh8. I think that's merely a sign of weakness, because it shows a lack of confidence in their chances to win if they play normally. In the end, though, I suppose you should simply do what you consider more fun.
I like playing positional sacrifices in Bullet that I wouldn't consider in a standard OTB game – if you consider that to be a risk.

Instinct would be to take the rook. Qd5 is a move that I would probably not see and evaluate in 1 second, so I'd take the rook in a 1 minute game.

Of course this is a 2 minute game. Both variations are decisive advantages so I agree with MessyAnswer – do what you like best
You could do the tricks but they work best against less experienced players, like @MessyAnswer said, considering the best moves will help you improve your game in the long run as it helps you make sharper moves more often.
@Jayadeya: Qd5 is the difference between winning a free Rook and just winning the exchange (Bishop for a Rook). Qd5, your opponent defends with e6 (forced practically), you take the Rook and then Black plays a4, trapping the Bishop. At first I though the move you played was just a waste of time, but then I saw the above and it is actually an inferior move.

In general do not play moves that are obvious threats without any other benefit, expecting your opponent not seeing them. This is called "hope chess" and when you face better opponents, you will throw away games that you could easily win.
As soon as you play Qd5 and your enemy responds with Bxh3 taking the knight there is no more mate threat. So it's not worth it. Take the rook.
