How to learn chess openings?

I am a perfectionist who wants to learn everything. Can someone give me tips on how to learn chess opening? Should I memorize every variation with the name and best move ? Is that the right way to go about it ? My rating is 1700 (bad play lowered to 1600) And I want to learn openings. Any Help?
There isn't enough time to memorize everything. Your best bet is trying to understand openings. Where you should place your pieces, what you want to achieve, where you want to break in the centre and so on.

If you only memorize stuff you are gonna get into trouble.
If you are a perfectionist and want to learn everything, then ensgame study is more worth it.
There is no best move in openings. There is fashion and opinion.
You have to study the debut, but it should be done in conjunction with the middlegame and even better with the endgame. This is a very hard work for a long time. Therefore, this process is continuous and should not be considered a studied topic. In addition to the debut, you should pay attention to the tasks of lichess. Tactical vigilance is very important for combinations and blitz.
why are you studying openings and people around 1400 dont even play opening theory, games are simply decided by tactics i remember when i was around `1600 FIDE i won all my games by tactics and if i lost was cos of my poor end game skills and that was with experts
